I'm on the cover of 24H Vancouver today, pictured mid-installation. There's a pdf here.

The text reads:

Irish artist and architect Kevin Walsh tries to uncover the invisible layer of space made by surveillance cameras through an art installation Surveilling Public Space at the Interurban Gallery on East Hastings Street. “The assumption is you’re guilty if you’re being observed,” he said. “It’s something akin to being searched.”

Installation No. 1

Trial run of an idea for an installation, in space graciously provided by PS² in Belfast. A great opportunity to iron out technical and not-so-technical (paint-related) issues.

Exhibiting/Installing in PS² studios, Belfast

Interesting series of one-day workshop/installation/exhibits organised for the next few weeks in PS². Hope to figure out some technical issues andd explore this idea a bit further.
